Core Beliefs
We believe that our creator God has placed us in a world and universe of His awesome creation with its exquisite beauty and delicate balance. He has directed us to explore and discover the truths of His creation wherever we can find them. Therefore, the Center for Faith and Science International is dedicated to the pursuit of truth in all its forms; the physical world we live in and the world of spiritual and metaphysical truths that we cannot see. We believe ALL TRUTH emanates from a single creator God and that it is our responsibility to search out these truths.
The five points below represent the “Core Beliefs” of the Center for Faith and Science International (CFSINT).
Creation: We believe that the complexity and sophistication of biological systems combined with the ideal and unique physicochemical conditions necessary to support life on earth suggests that life on earth was purposefully created rather than existing by random, non-directed chance.
Omnipotent/Omniscient/Omnipresent/Immutable God: We believe in a single God who is not only the creator of our universe and all things within and around it, but who exists today as an all powerful (omnipotent), infinitely all knowing (omniscient), always present (omnipresent) and unchanging (immutable) entity.
Science and Theology: We acknowledge that the scientific method defines fact as that which is observable and testable in a repeated manner over time, while much of theology deals with that which is unseen and untestable within the observational based limitations of modern science. Science and theology can and do coincide when evidential data exists supporting scriptural passages. We believe that science is an invaluable instrument enabling men and women to better understand and comprehend their world and its intricately interwoven physical, chemical, geological and biological processes.
Jesus as God Incarnate: We believe that Jesus of Nazareth was, and is, indeed God incarnate and that He died on the cross as described in the New Testament, physically arose from the grave and represents salvation to all who acknowledge Him as Christ.
Absolute Truth: Because we believe in a single absolute creator God, we also believe there is ultimately, by definition, Absolute Truth. Even though we humans will never fully comprehend Absolute Truth, we will pursue it in a professional and disciplined manner. We furthermore acknowledge that how we perceive spiritual truth is a matter of one’s individual faith. We reject relativism that runs rampant in today’s world while agreeing that many religious doctrines and beliefs represent partial truths varying in their closeness to the actual Absolute Truth. We believe that God has and does reveal Himself in many ways; through His created universe and through His divine revelation. We acknowledge that God and His word represent an immutable, pure and Absolute Truth which we must strive to interpret correctly. Furthermore, we believe that because all truth is from God, there will be no contradiction between correctly interpreted divine revelation, God’s word, and authentic scientific truths about the universe we live in. Our objective within the Center for Faith and Science is to encourage scientific study and research and the pursuit of correct spiritual interpretation of God’s revealed truths to move us closer to the Absolute Truth.
Focus and Vision
The Center for Faith and Science International is a not-for-profit, educational organization whose function is to equip students, educators and thinkers of all ages with the academic resources necessary to carefully evaluate all major theories regarding creation and the development of life on earth. The interpretation of these concepts form the foundation of how an individual sees, examines and understands the world. The Center thus seeks to promote a thoughtful examination of scientific theory that depolarizes it from spiritual convictions and allows thinkers to arrive at a personal perspective of life’s origins that is grounded in respect for academic pursuits and biblical teachings.
Mission Statement
Recognizing that our Creator God encourages us to explore and discover the vast splendor of His creation, the Center for Faith and Science International exists to promote the exploration and understanding of the origins and development of life on earth as dually revealed in God's Word and in the observable universe around us.
CFSI seeks to broker a free and respectful exchange of ideas relative to faith and science, so that established scientific truths may be applied to various theories regarding the development of life on earth in a manner that fosters reconciliation between religious belief and scientific discovery.
