August 25, 2010 Play Show: The “Exclusion Clause” – the separation of church and state – has all but prohibited school districts from teaching all theories of origins. Consequently, students are given just the one theory of evolution to explain life on earth. At best, students of faith are left to struggle with their views – at worst they leave their faith foundations behind them completely. John Calvert proposes a new legal definition of religion – one that focuses on the “matter of ultimate concern” put down by the courts. Would such a definition allow for the responsible teaching of first things in our schools? Listen to the podcast for this exciting discussion between John Calvert and T. M. Moore.
